NetXpress Video Accelerator is a program designed to accelerate the video streaming in order to fasten your video downloading speed.
It’s a small application that can be launched from the system tray and opened in Mozilla Firefox. It automatically installs a driver and then you can visualize any video with a faster streaming speed. It allows you to view the streaming process or see the detailed acceleration statistics. It gives you information about the current downloading speed, the size of the video, and the estimated remaining time.
What's more, this tool provides an ability to start saving the video automatically, once you have watched it on a website. Another function allows you to use a proxy server.
Nevertheless, I have to say that this tool doesn’t improve the streaming speed too much. To be honest, I barely felt any change when I enabled this program. Unfortunately, the app doesn't run on Windows 7 (I myself tested it on two different operating systems), which contradicts the developer's statement. The program might be used only for downloading videos from websites. In my opinion, this application is just a waste of time, because it doesn’t do what the developer claims.
